Social Media can be a powerful tool for your chapter to use to recruit new members, build camaraderie among existing members, and brand your organization on your campus.

Channels

The most common social media channels used by chapters are Instagram and LinkedIn, but it is at your school's discretion if you choose to use additional appropriate channels to build your individual chapter brand.

Naming Conventions

When creating your social media accounts, be sure to include PGN and your school's name in your handle (e.g., @pgnpsu). Students who are interested in learning more about your chapter will be easily able to identify and find your social media page(s).

Be sure to review the attached slide deck which provides an overview of social media examples from other chapters.

Brand Standards

There are National branding standards for PGN that all chapters must adhere to - both on webpage and social media usage.

Be sure to review the attached branding standards and confirm your understanding. Non-compliance with these standards may result in a fine if your social media page(s) and / or website are audited by the National organization.
