Ways to Generate Revenue

There are several ways a new chapter can generate revenue for their chapter. The two primary ways are through fundraising events and through corporate sponsorship opportunities.

Fundraising Events

Fundraising events on campus are a great way to generate additional funds for your chapter. These can be impromptu or planned events by a committee / new members. Some examples of a fundraising event may include: food / bake sales, swag sales, sporting events (e.g., March Madness Brackets), and more.

Corporate Sponsorship Opportunities

Corporate Partners are a great way to build important company connections for your chapter, as well as to obtain additional funding. Depending on your school requirements, you may or may not be allowed to receive funds from a corporate partner. *Please look into this at your university / college prior to pursuing. If interested in leveraging National level materials, please reach out to our VP Sponsorship at sponsorshipvp@pgnleaders.org.

Dues Amounts

New Member Dues are $80 / semester for the National Organization.

Renewing Member Dues are $55 / semester for the National Organization.

In addition to National dues, you may choose to charge additional dues money for your chapter to build your funds for events and planning. It is at each school's discretion as to what to charge in addition to National money.

Timing of Dues

The National Dues deadline in the Fall Semester is October 15th and in the Spring Semester is March 15th. Invoices will be issued to the Chapter's VP Finance and President from the National Organization after receiving confirmed membership counts and auditing membership numbers in the PGN Community. This should be completed by October 1st and March 1st respectively to give the chapter time to collect and pay National dues. Please connect with PGN Nationals if your school is on a quarter or trimester schedule.

Dues Collection

Dues are collected on a semesterly basis. Members typically will pay dues after the end of recruitment season. Be mindful of the National organization deadlines to ensure you have enough time to collect chapter level dues and pay your invoice in a timely manner.

Financial Checks & Balances

Having checks and balances in your organization is very important. The VP Finance is responsible for managing the chapter's finances, but the President is ultimately accountable for the appropriate management of funds. Be sure to have consistent reviews of your income and expenses with your entire Executive Board to ensure transparency and accuracy in your accounting.
