Excluding chapter, recruitment, or other special events - most events can be categorized in one of three classifications.

  • Professional Events

  • Social Events

  • Philanthropy Events

Each of these event types have various purposes yet are all crucial to the success and experience members gain from PGN.  

Professional Events: The goal of professional events should be the grow a member's professional skills or knowledge. Some examples of these events are:

  • Case Studies

  • Speaker Events

  • Corporate Visits

  • Resume Critiques

  • LinkedIn Workshops

  • Mock Interview Events

  • Professional Networking Events

 

Social Events: Social events center around gathering membership together to help create strong relationships amongst each other. Some examples of these events are:

  • Family Dinners

  • Sporting Events

  • Away Weekends

  • Other Social Gatherings

 

Philanthropy Events: The purpose of philanthropy events is to provide the opportunity for your chapter and it's membership to give back to the community. Some examples being:

  • Food Drives

  • Organizing an event for a dedicated cause

  • Volunteering

  • Other forms of volunteering

A chapter should look to establish a variety of these events throughout each semester. Having a variety of these event types help build a well rounded organization.
