In Module 4 you read about marketing for recruitment events. Marketing for other events your chapter puts on will follow a similar model. The differences to consider go back to The 5 W's of Event Planning. Who? Who is your audience for the event? If it is an internal chapter event marketing will require emailing members, sharing the sign up sheet, putting the event on a shared calendar, or sharing information about the event at chapter. Whereas an event being hosted with another student organization will require more marketing across your college/university. If an event is being hosted by your chapter for non-PGN members to attend or if you’re fundraising for an event, social media is a great way to market your event for other students at your school to hear about it.
