Every Fall, elections are held for the new executive board. Since roles are changed annually, it is imperative that the newly elected executive board members are onboarded and transitioned smoothly. Continue reading for a general list of things to save and keep in mind as you transition over to the new executive board.
Documentation/storing:
Usernames/passwords to any accounts (email, social media, website, etc)
Bank/finance info (physical debit card, card #, bank account info, passwords to accounts, etc)
Position document outlining the duties and responsibilities of each executive board member
Chapter/recruitment materials
Meetings between outgoing/incoming executive board: these should happen before the next semester starts. A good rule of thumb is to have them the week after elections and continue them as needed. Once the general meetings happen with each full board, 1:1 position-specific trainings are recommended as well.
Relationship transitions: over the course of a year as a member of the executive board, you will meet and network with various points of contacts. Those contacts should all be stored and transferred to the new executive board. The list below includes (but not limited to) some relationships to transfer:
School administrators (especially within the school of business)
Chapter advisor
Other RSO leaders
Vendors
Sponsors
PGN Nationals
