  • this is generally your most effective means of event communication

  • being able to have everyone's attention at chapter and have any questions be heard from everyone is most effective

  • Formal email

    • this can be sent within the weekly chapter recap and/or individually from respective executive/chair positions 

  • GroupMe / Flare / any mass instant-messaging platform

    • these are good for quick event updates such as location change or time change

    • be weary, however, that a lot of messages go unnoticed or disregarded when other messages are sent after the event update

      • you may want to consider having multiple group chats, one only for communication about events and important information, and another for everything else

Communicating the details to upcoming events is crucial in order to have good attendance and cooperation. It is imperative that your chapter release updates on a weekly basis to upcoming events. For events that will be required for members, it is recommended that details for that event are shared many weeks in advance so there are many opportunities to remind the chapter.
