One of the many reasons PGN Nationals set-up the PGN Scholars Foundation was to make it easier for chapters to facilitate corporate fundraisers and provide a benefit back to their corporate partners.

To conduct a corporate fundraiser, you'll need to adhere to a specific process to ensure that your corporate partner is tax receipted appropriately by the PGN Scholars Foundation.

Getting Started

As soon as you begin planning an event, reach out to scholarsfoundation@pgnleaders.org to provide notice of a corporate fundraiser. You'll need to provide the information listed below:

  • The name of the company you're working with

  • The name of the fundraiser contact

  • The email address, website, or other contact information for the fundraiser contact

  • Date(s) of the proposed fundraiser(s)

If the corporation you're working with provides you with a form or website to fill out, you're responsible for completing all of the information related to the event and sending the completed form or relevant information to scholarsfoundation@pgnleaders.org at least 10 days before the application is due.

Providing our 501(c)(3) EIN Information

Most companies will expect to receive an EIN, or Employer Identification Number, when donating to a 501(c)(3) designated organization.

You do not have this information. Only designees of the 501(c)(3) PGN Scholars Foundation have access to the EIN. This is to ensure we can track every donation in order to maintain our tax-protected status with the IRS.

The PGN Scholars Foundation must work directly with the corporate partner to provide the EIN information for a donation or the applicable corporate fundraiser. Once the information requested above has been provided to scholarsfoundation@pgnleaders.org, a representative of the Scholars Foundation will reach out to the company to provide the required documentation.

Accepting Donations Electronically

If a corporate partner wishes to make a donation electronically, the PGN Scholars Foundation accepts donations via PayPal on PGN National's website. The URL is pgnleaders.org/scholars - and users can simply select the 'Donate' button to be guided through the electronic process.

If an electronic donation is made, tax receipt information will be emailed to the contact information provided during check-out.

Accepting Check Donations

If a corporate partner wishes to make a donation via check, the PGN Scholars Foundation accepts donations mailed to PGN Nationals headquarters. The check must be mailed to the following address and include the name of the school on the check face:
