From Babson to Building Impact: How PGN Helped Launch MaziCare
For Fotios Kouziortis, joining Phi Gamma Nu during his first semester at Babson College marked the beginning of both personal and professional growth. Originally from Greece, Fotios is now a sophomore studying Sales and Finance while building a business focused on improving elderly care access for families across his home country.
Since joining PGN, Fotios found a strong sense of community through mentorship, professional development opportunities, and relationships with members who encouraged him to grow beyond the classroom. Through chapter events, conversations with peers, and support from the organization, he gained the confidence to pursue entrepreneurship and turn an idea into reality.
That idea became MaziCare, Greece’s first all-in-one elderly care platform designed to simplify the process of finding trusted in-home care. As one of Europe’s fastest-aging populations continues to grow, many families in Greece face challenges accessing reliable care for elderly loved ones. MaziCare was created to address that need by making elderly care more accessible, transparent, and dependable.
Recently, Fotios received an entrepreneurial grant from PGN Nationals to help support the growth of the platform. The grant reflects PGN’s commitment to supporting college student entrepreneurs and empowering members to pursue ideas that create meaningful impact within their communities.
Just weeks ago, Fotios officially launched the fully functional MaziCare platform. With support from PGN Nationals and the broader PGN community, he now plans to expand the platform’s reach across Greece and help more families connect with trusted caregivers.
For Fotios, PGN has become more than a professional organization—it has become a community that encourages leadership, innovation, and growth. His journey reflects the impact that student organizations and university communities can have in helping young professionals transform ideas into action.
