PGN Goes to Vienna, Austria

Studying abroad is more than just an academic experience—it’s a chance to grow personally, professionally, and culturally. For one PGN Scholar, that opportunity came to life in Vienna, Austria, where classroom lessons met real-world consulting and global exploration. Supported by the PGN Scholars Foundation and PGN Nationals, this journey became not only a chance to work with international businesses but also to build lasting memories and insights that will carry forward into future leadership within PGN.

Let’s here from Amanda about her study-abroad experience:

“As I wrap up my study abroad experience in Vienna, Austria, I’m excited to share the journey I’ve had with the PGN Scholars Foundation. First and foremost, I want to extend my sincere gratitude to the PGN Scholars Foundation and PGN Nationals for their continued support throughout this incredible opportunity. I feel truly fortunate to be part of such a supportive and inspiring community.

During my time in Vienna, I served as a global consultant through the Fisher College of Business at Ohio State. Alongside three teammates, I worked with a recently launched accelerator company on their marketing initiatives. In my role as Engagement Manager, I led corporate outreach, campaign development, and strategic expansion efforts—helping to diversify a portfolio of startups and plan future growth. By the end of the project, our team developed eight strategic content pillars to enhance the company’s online presence and launched an educational media initiative to promote financial literacy to the public.

Beyond work, I had the privilege of exploring the rich culture of Central Europe with fellow Ohio State students. From Budapest to Prague to Bratislava, each city offered a unique glimpse into the region’s charm and lifestyle. The experience was eye-opening, and I cherished every moment of immersion in this new way of life. I’m deeply thankful for the memories made and look forward to applying the lessons I’ve learned to the PGN Chapter this upcoming Autumn Semester.“
