Each year, the Penn State chapter of PGN raises over $100K to fight pediatric cancer through THON™, a dance marathon. THON is a Penn State-wide student-run philanthropy committed to enhancing the lives of children and families impacted by childhood cancer. The program aims to provide emotional and financial support, spread awareness and ensure funding for critical research ― all in pursuit of a cure. Each February, the yearlong efforts of student volunteers and support for the families culminate in a 46-hour, no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon.

PGN’s commitment goes far beyond raising money, we meet and spend time with the families. Some of them even go on to join PGN! Our Penn State chapter is paired with four THON families, the Millers, Akrights, Wagners, and Shapiros.

This year we raised $114,481.77, making us the #1 general organization fundraisers.

Thank you to everyone who donated and to our THON dancers Alex, Bliss, David, Emma, Kara, KC, and Marisa!
