Each year, the Penn State chapter of PGN raises hundreds of thousands of dollars to fight pediatric cancer through THON™, the world’s largest student-run philanthropy. THON is committed to supporting children and families affected by childhood cancer by providing emotional and financial support, spreading awareness, and funding life-saving research through its sole beneficiary, Four Diamonds. Each February, the yearlong efforts of student volunteers culminate in a 46-hour, no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon.

PGN’s commitment goes far beyond raising money, we meet and spend time with the families. Some of them even go on to join PGN! Our Penn State chapter is paired with five THON families: the Akrights, the Eichelbergers, the Millers, the Schambers, and the Shapiros.

This year we raised nearly $270,000, making us the #1 general organization fundraiser for THON 2025.

Thank you to everyone who donated and to our THON dancers for representing PGN on the floor!
